Last weekend I attended the North Atlantic Region Cat Fanciers Association awards banquet. It is a time when the cat show people come together and celebrate the accomplishments of their cats in the previous season. It’s also spending a nice evening with friends.
This year, I sat with The RagaMuffin Kitten Breeder Society member Linda Druck, whose RagaMuffin Monty got a Regional Win in Household Pet. Linda was very excited; it was a well deserved win. Linda attended the banquet with her friend Sue, who often helps her at shows. In addition, my cat show buddy Robin Rommel was present to get her Burmese, Patrick, a Regional Award in Premiership. It’s always more fun to share the food and fun with friends.
My Fudgie also received awards. He was the Breed Winner in RagaMuffins as well as an all breed Regional Winner in Championship. In a couple of weeks, he will get the award for National Breed Winning RagaMuffin for the season. Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend that celebration.
I am proud of my Fudgie. He is retired now to spend time lounging around the house and in the cat yard.
